5 Inevitable Uses of Himalayan Pink Salt

Salt is no doubt a vital element in the human body and an inevitable part of  our food so, we cannot take its importance away from our daily cooking. There are different types and different uses of salt in the world. Mainly, we categorize salt in two categories, one is good salt or right salt  and other is  bad salt ! While I was conducting a research for the right kind of salt for the health of my father as he is  an old man suffering from high blood pressure symptoms and some other cardio vascular disorders, I met a health consultant who advised me to use Himalayan pink salt in my kitchen for cooking purposes and in my room living room as salt lamp in replacement of ordinary electric lamps, I was amazed by qualities and health benefits that the Himalayan pink salt has been rendering to the people of current era. Its essential benefits invoked in me a desire to know more about benefits and uses of this natural pink salt.

Due to enormous health benefits, which the pink salt offers, there are a number of different uses of this great salt type. Following are the few great Himalayan salt uses that I found through my research:

1. Gourmet Salts

Because of its naturally  “dense mineral” nature and number of  various benefits that are directly linked with the human health through the diet, this salt is becoming ever popular for all the top chefs and even in the kitchens of the ordinary individuals. The people are becoming more and more conscious of the nutritional values and are now looking for the natural chemical free health boosting products such as Himalayan salt that has the best value for their health. This salt is flying off on every departmental store’s shelve and people are replacing their traditional edible salt and the seasoning with it.

2. Salt Lamps

Because of the mineral composition and the other bio compounds, this salt is acting in multiple ways to increase the health and wellness of the people. Companies are using this salt to make natural air purifying objects such as a salt lamp that emits negative ions in the air to make the indoor environment clean and purified where one can breathe easily in an allergen-free atmosphere. So, you can also grab these unique salt lamps and put them in your bedrooms and other living areas where you need a conditioned air.

3. Salt Blocks

The Himalayan salt blocks are also gaining popularity worldwide. A salt block is a great addition to every kitchen and it’s a large piece of the pink salt that is carved by the hands to form a plate shape. These salt plates can be used to serve or cook the seafood, vegetables, chicken, and also the cold dishes such as the raw fish. Again, the 84 minerals of the Himalayan salt will do plenty of benefits while you are cooking on it.

4. Mineral Soak

If you are feeling tired and stressed at the end of a hectic day job, then you can plan a salt and mineral bath as it is a great way to relax through simultaneously infusing your skin and the body with the minerals and hydration. The skin soaks up the minerals from the water through the dermal absorption process.

5. Detoxification

The Himalayan salt is added to the warm bathwater in order to get the necessary nutrients to the body through the salt bath. Along with that, the Himalayan pink salt also works as a very strong detoxifier as it turns into an ionic solution after dissolving in the water, and then it draws all the toxins right out of your skin and the adipose tissues. The Himalayan salt will offer a unique healing mineral infusion and that along with the minerals will make you feel refreshed and a lot more energized.

In fact, there are a lot more uses and the health benefits of using this mineral dense salt version. I will recommend you to replace the traditional processed salt (if you are using one) with the great Himalayan pink salt to get all the health advantages that are linked with it. I am more than happy by using this version of the salt and I am pretty much sure that you will also get benefit from its minerals and bio compounds that are found naturally in this salt.

Pink Salt and Olive Oil Ice Cream Recipe

Basically the quality of the ice cream depends upon the oil used. Try to use the extra virgin olive oil or taste a few before using in the recipe. Using salt is also a fun. You can use a salt type of your own choice but I always use Himalayan pink salt as it contains natural minerals and a real salty taste.
This ice cream has the best taste when eaten soft at the sight. If you will keep it in freezer for later use then the oil will made it hard somehow. It would be best served in a cone.

Ingredients:

160 ml extra virgin olive oil
200 ml whole milk
140 g sugar
100 ml double cream
4 large egg yolks
Himalayan Pink salt

Directions:

First of all boil the milk, cream and sugar. Leave for at least 2 minutes to cool it slightly. Take the egg yolks and beat until they get pale and thick. Slowly add the mixture with the yolks while stirring. Again take this mixture to the burner to make custard on low heat. Remove from burner and chill.
After chilling for some minutes, give it a blend of olive oil and pinch of pink salt. It will add an amazing and noticeable flavor. Completely cool the mixture before mixing in the ice cream maker. Serve this distinguishing and full of flavor ice cream with an extra pinch of Himalayan pink salt.

Just chill and enjoy!!!

Before starting your first recipe, it is important to choose the right type of salt that can not only offer a great taste, but can also prove good for the health. The Himalayan pink salt is one type of salt and it is one of a kind that’s benefits cannot be found in any other type. This salt is naturally packed with 84 minerals, and this is the most pure and natural form of salt to offer several health benefits. So, we are going to use the pink salt in our recipes for the best taste and to promote the health promoting factor,
1. Chili Lime Salt Recipe
Let’s start with the chili lime recipe as this fiery blend of the red pepper flakes and the tangy lime is remarkable over taco, fajita, French fries with the chipotle mayo and may be just about anything that you might have in your kitchen.
Ingredients:
Makes approximately 3/4 cup
You need ¾ cup unrefined salt (coarse or fine) and 1 each of a tablespoon of crushed red pepper flakes and fresh organic lime zest.
Instructions:
You should remove the outer zest from lime using the cheese grater or maybe the microplane zester. Try to make sure that you are not peeling off the bitter white pith. Now, lay the zest on a towel and let it air dry for a couple of hours. After it has dried up, you can combine it with the salt and the crushed red pepper flakes. At last, pour the salt in a jar and use it liberally

2. Porcini Salt Recipe
Well friends, you may think that there are only 4 tastes such as salty, sweet, bitter and sour. You are not right my friend… Actually, there are five to be exact! It’s called umami that means “delicious” in Japanese. This porcini salt recipe is perfect for the Italian soups, dishes, stocks, seafood and many more.
Ingredients:
Makes approximately 3/4 cups
You will need 1/3 cup of dried wild porcini mushrooms and 3/4 cup unrefined sea salt.
Instructions:
Use a coffee grinder to grind the porcini mushrooms until the mushrooms are the consistency that you prefer, and then mix it with the salt.
3. Vanilla Salt Recipe
You can serve this recipe with the strawberries or to sprinkle it over the chocolate. This is a delicate salt that will add a surprising pop of flavor to the sweets & treats.
Ingredients:
Makes approximately 3/4 cup
You will require 3/4 cup of salt (coarse or fine) and 3 to 4 vanilla beans.
Instructions:
Cut a slit down to the whole length of the vanilla bean using a sharp knife. After that, scrape out the seeds from the center using the tip of the knife which must have a paste-like consistency. Now, place a little amount of the salt in the coffee grinder along with the vanilla beans and pulse it until they combines completely. At last, you should finish the recipe by adding salt/vanilla mixture to the remaining salt and mix it thoroughly using a spoon.
